2010 Arts Guild Award Presentations

Cllr. Michael Downing joined members of Stevenage Arts Guild for the annual awards presentation to talented young people from Stevenage last Thursday at the Community Arts Centre in Stevenage. Every year the Arts Guild gives awards to young Stevenage residents between the age of 16 and 24 who are embarking upon a career in the arts.

The awards are designed to help them improve their standard of performance by contributing towards the cost of a new instrument or provide equipment for their studies. The Mayor presented cheques to all the recipients and several of the young people performed during the evening.
