Stevenage Symphony Orchestra
An amateur orchestra based in Stevenage who perform 3-4 concerts a year at venues across Hertfordshire.
New players welcome.
Stevenage Ladies Choir
Repertoire includes classical and light music, including selections from many musicals
Stevenage Locomotive Society
Holds monthly meetings at the Community Arts Centre with exhibitions and speakers from across the country
Stevenage Choral Society
A mixed voice choir of about 90 members of all ages. Performs 3-4 concerts a year. New members welcome
Stevenage Lytton Players
Specialise in both musical theatre and drama productions. Also has an extremely strong and active youth theatre.
Stevenage Male Voice Choir
The choir gives about 12 concerts a year at venues ranging from OAP homes to the Gordon Craig Theatre
Stevenage Underwater Photography Society
A group of qualified sports divers who share a common interest in photography.
Meets each month at Community Arts Centre.

The Stevenage Arts Guild was founded in the 1950's to encourage, to sustain and to co-ordinate the artistic endevours of the people of Stevenage.
The Arts Guild has a wide range of members -from the performing arts, choirs and orchestras to floral arts, photographic societies and locomotive societies.

2023 Arts Guild Talented Young People Awards
Open for Applications
Do you have an ambition to develop, study or work in music,
dance, arts etc - are living or educated in Stevenage - and
aged between 12 and 24 years old?
The Stevenage Arts Guild Talented Young Peoples awards aims
to recognise your achievement and help towards the cost of your
development and training.

Daniel's US Debut
Young musician, Daniel Garvin, who received one of the 2018 Arts
Guild Talented Young People awards, was delighted to be
selected, as the only UK musician, to play in the
'High School Honours Instrumental Performance' at the Carnegie Hall
in New York.

Edward Gordon Craig - 50 Years On
Our theatre is named after him… but who was Edward Gordon Craig?
50 years after his death, Stevenage Arts Guild, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund,
created a series of exhibitions and events throughout to celebrated the life and work of the town’s forgotten son who became a radical and visionary theatrical pioneer
of the "art of theatre".
