Duke or Dustman ~ Heroine or Harlot
Discover the hidden life of your ancestors

We are here to help you research your family's history and see what life was like for past generations in Victorian times, Georgian times, or even Tudor times.

Did they pay Poll Tax, or Window Tax, or even Hearth Tax ?

Were they Cavalier or Roundhead, Butcher, Baker or Candlestick maker.  Learn how to explore the many records left behind.

We can offer you guidance on how to get started on the fascinating story of your forefathers.  Let us help you develop your family tree.

Can you trace back 4 generations and find all 32 great great great grandparents ?

Come and listen to our lectures, join in quizzes and take advantage of our informal research evenings.

Join our trips to "WDYTYA" at Olympia in February, or to the National Archives in Kew.

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month.  Doors open at 7:15pm for 7:30pm start.

Venue : Friends Meeting House, Cutty Lane, Stevenage.

Membership: £12 per year.  Visitors welcome
